The two sister tigers at SouthWick zoo were playing with eachother. The orange tiger leaps onto her sister as a surprise attack to see if she will play. I do have a photo of them reared up, but im going to try to get a better one.
Edit: oh my god, Thank you so much for the 1,000 + views on this photo! It really means alot
Wow, that is so amusing! I wish I could have been there. Everything about this photo is humorous and well-captured.
Vision-wise, it's great, but for some reason my eyes aren't focused on either tiger, more of the negative space between the two. I've never seen a photo of a tiger puncing on another, that is funny. The technique is great, though if the camera was tilted more towards the orange tiger, it would have a greater effect. For impact, this is very nice, though the only way I can see to improve it is through editing.
All in all, beautiful photo, I love the light-hearted humor.
When I look at this picture, I just have to smile. And I think that's the reaction photographers should want. You always want to bring out the emotion in the scene. This is simply charming! Tigers are such marvelous creatures, and I think you did well at capturing their varying personalities. The white tiger is at peace, simply resting quietly. The way you captured this picture, just shows how she is not expecting this surprise! The one that is leaping toward her is the pure image of innocent playfullness. The difference between the two tigers is portrayed beautifully. You are a brilliant photographer and have a wonderful eye for scenes that portray nature's beauty at its best. Great job!
What a fantastic capture! I love the contrast between the dynamic, intense leaping tiger and her serene, relaxed "victim." Ha ha, I would have loved to have seen this exchange in real life... especially two seconds after this shot.
